Beaches on the Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales
Beautiful beaches in north wales close to the self catering holiday cottages available for short term rent.

LOCALITY
All five Glasfryn cottages are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The magnificent landscape of Snowdonia and the coastline of Cardigan Bay are easily accessible, so whether it’s a day on the beach or a hike to a magical waterfall, the choice is yours.

The Llyn Peninsula is a wild landscape of unspoilt natural scenery, ringed by a stunning coastline. This is great walking country and in its entirety the Llyn Coastal Path is 146km or 84 miles long, extending from Caernarfon along the north Llyn coast to Uwchmynydd and then to Porthmadog. The scenery is varied: small coves and wide expanses of sand, rugged cliffs and ever changing seas.

From Glasfryn, the walk to the iron age hill fort of Tre’r Ceiri is less than a 10 minute drive away. Another enchanting spot is St Cybi’s well, a healing well of immense charm and atmosphere.

Access is easy to the sandy beaches and rocky inlets of the Peninsula (again a 10 minute hop in the car).

The small market town of Pwllheli with its award winning marina & blue flag beach is 4 miles away. There are shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty plus a cinema, public library and leisure centre. Abersoch is 10 miles away and Criccieth, Porthmadog, Aberdaron and Nefyn are all within easy reach.
There are numerous historic and scenic attractions such as the Snowdonia National Park, Ffestiniog Steam Railway, Welsh Highland Steam Railway, Caernarfon, Criccieth and Harlech Castles and the Italianate village of Portmeirion designed by Clough Williams-Ellis, a family forebear.

Within a mile of all the cottages is Glasfryn Activity Park, open all year and guaranteed to have something for all family members. A thrilling go kart track, an exciting quad bike trek, ten pin bowling and a jungle themed soft play area are just some of the attractions on offer. The restaurant and café/bar is complemented by our very own farm shop which stocks locally reared welsh black beef, lamb, game, cheese and ready made meals.

Nearest Train: Pwllheli 4 miles, Bangor 22 miles (3.30 hrs. London, Virgin trains).
Nearest Bus stop: 1 mile.
The village shop of Londis in Y Ffor is very well stocked for newspapers and all basic essentials.
