Directions to Glasfryn

Glasfryn is situated on the shoulder of the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales.

The post code is LL53 6RD. If you are using Sat Nav or Multi Map this post code takes you to a neighbouring farm and to the wrong place. Please please please refer to these directions to avoid getting lost.

Directions from London.
From London Take the M1.
Follow M1 to the M6, Follow signs for Birmingham
Then take M54 for Telford. Carry on until you come to the A5, Shrewsbury Road
Follow directions for Llangollen. Come into Llangollen, follow the road to Corwen, and then at a set of traffic lights, take the left turning for Bala. Carry on until you get to Bala on the A4212 (approx 12 miles). Take the right turning as you get into Bala for Trawsfynydd and Porthmadog (A487). Follow the road through Criccieth.

About 2 miles from Criccieth take a right turning for Chwilog and Nefyn (this turning is signposted with a brown tourist sign for Glasfryn Parc). Carry on down the B4354 through Chwilog to Y Ffor where you will come to a crossroads. Turn right in Y Ffor and follow the A499 road for 2 miles taking a right turn for Pencaenewydd and Ancient Monument only after you have passed the brown sign and entrance for Glasfryn Parc which will be on your right hand side.

Tan Y Bryn

When you have turned right off the main road towards Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument, carry on for approx 2 miles until you come to a staggered junction just as you approach Pencaenewydd. Take the turning left for half a mile.

Tan Y Bryn is on the left hand side, up a farm track and over two cattle grids. Just opposite the entrance you will see a mirror half way up a telegraph pole.
The track from the road up to the house is a little rough, but nevertheless accessible by car if care is taken.

Glasfryn Fawr

When you have turned right, off the main road towards Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument, take the next turning right to Glasfryn Fawr, bear left on the farm track.
The kitchen door (double door) will be open and the key inside.

Rose Cottage, Coach House and Garden Cottage.

When you have turned right off the main road towards Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument, take the second turning left: the impressive drive is recently tarmaced.
The lodge at the bottom of the drive is called Drofa.

Drive up the main drive, past the lake, and Rose Cottage is the first property on your right. Please park in the lay-by just before you reach the cottage, under the lavender.

Coach House is just beyond Rose Cottage, please park outside.

Carry on along the lane to Garden Cottage, which is detached and set amidst the trees.

Directions from the A55 Expressway:

A55, Caernarfon, A499 Caernarfon-Pwllheli main road. 15 miles exactly from Caernarfon, you will come through a village called Llanaelhaearn, and the road will be dead straight for a few miles.

You will pass Glasfryn Fencing Centre on the left; you're very close! Take the next left turn signposted Pencaenewydd/Ancient Monument.

Take the first turning right for Glasfryn Fawr and the second turning left for Glasfryn Uchaf, Coach House & Garden Cottage.

The impressive drive is recently tarmaced, and the lodge at the bottom of the drive is called Drofa.

Penyberth, Penrhos, is approximately 2 miles from Pwllheli on the Abersoch / Llanbedrog main road (A499). There are several signs on the right hand entrance
for the caravan park, golf driving range and Lavendar House.

Turn right here at these signs and take the next turning left at the caravan park entrance.

The main office (for the golf driving range and caravan park) is on the left hand side.
Please pick up keys there in order to proceed through the security barriers.

The two bungalows are situated on the main road up through the caravan park on the right behind cricket fencing and conifer trees.

Pen-y-Berth is located on the southern coast of the Lleyn Peninsula in North West Wales, UK. The Llyn Peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coastline. Pwllheli and Abersoch nearby are popular locations for sailing and watersports.

Pwllheli is the main town of the Peninsula and Pen-y-Berth is only 2 miles from the town off the main A499 Pwllheli to Abersoch road.
